I haven't updated in a while and I will start doing that from now on.  So I have been laying off the mileage a little bit for about a week now because of my calf muscles.  They were both super tight and I have been stretching them, icing, rolling as much as I can.  Today I have done the most mileage I have done.  It felt pretty good, there is a little pain but I should be ready to roll by next week!  Lifting after was good.  I can feel I am getting stronger.  I don't know if I should tone it down a little bit because sometimes I feel like I am lifting too much, but coach said do as much as you can...and I can do a lot at some things...haha anyways I am super excited for track and once I get past this minor injury I will be ready to roll!!

Today's run was absolutely HORRIBLE!!!  My body felt fine, except I had to go to the bathroom the entire run!  Some people are in the stalls for like 20 minutes, so I didn't get to go before and I thought I would be fine, haha yeah right!  Oh well, I am alive now and my body feels great.  Hopefully it stays getting healed!

Today was a nice easy run with popcorn haha.  I have been feeling pretty good lately and am super glad to be getting back into things!

Time Trial!!!

Wow, so today I was feeling super good, and during the warm-up, I was thinking that I just want to run today! So we get up to the starting line and coach says go. Earlier coach told me to ease into it and not stress myself and that is exactly what I did. Anyways we all start running and I get right behind Matt, Jason, Paul, and Abel. And I just go with them, I know that if I just stick behind someone they can push me and I will go with them. Well the second lap comes around and we were about 63 seconds and the guys in front of me kind of settled into a groove, and I thought it was a bit slow and I kinda wanted to go a little bit faster but I never ran this before and I didn't know if I should or not, so I just sat back. Well I remember people telling me that the last 200 meters are the hardest part, and when we get there Matt and Paul start going a little faster and I thought that I had to go with them. I went with them and knew that I had a pretty legit kick, anyways I out kicked Matt and Paul and came in 1.5 seconds behind Abel at around 2:10. I was super happy about my run but I know that there is still a lot of work ahead and there is room for tons of improvement and I am ready to get started!!

So today we had 3 miles.  My calves were a little, okay they were really tight.  My hip hurt a little bit but not too bad..so the run was good.  What was really the highlight of the day was the events we worked on after.  Come to find out I am a decent shotput thrower, don't know where that came from but whatever haha.  I can hurdle pretty good, but I don't like it very much.  Although, I think I am going to high jump! After practice I stayed after about an hour working on it.  We got the bar up to 5' 5" and I cleared that pretty easily.  I don't have very good form though but I can always work on that! So hopefully maybe I could be pretty good at this!
